homas John Shortino, Jr., a cherished angel passed away peacefully on November 23, 2024, just days shy of his 64th birthday. Born on November 29, 1960, Thomas was a lifelong resident of Washington, D.C., and Maryland, where he cultivated a life rich in love and joy, lighting the world with his smile. TJ received his Eagle Scout as a teenager. All knew how much he enjoyed his food and music, frequently declaring “sing that song!” or “let’s get out of town!” He is predeceased by parents Brigid & Thomas, Sr. He is survived by sisters Ann Louise (Marlene) & Mary Margaret; nieces Julia & Angela (Juan); friends; and the loving family of EPIC-SMVI. Donations in his name may be made at EPIC-SMVI.org. Brief services will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery at noon, on Sunday, December 15, 2024 followed by a Celebration of Life.
