homas M. Teutsch Sr. was born on July 10, 1923, in Chireno, Texas. He was the loving son of Marvin and Oleavy Teutsch. Tom had two brothers, Tucker and Floyd and one sister Mamie. He spent most of his childhood in Dodson, Texas, a small town near the Oklahoma border. When Tom turned 18 he joined the United States Army. While stationed in Washington, DC at the Army War College he met Monica Joan Brennan. They fell in love and were married on New Years Eve in 1945. They moved to Maryland and settled in Oxon Hill. Tom and Monica were blessed with six children: Tommy, Robby, Karen, Diane and the twins Shawn and David. Tom was a loving husband and father who was always involved in his children's day to day activities. During the time the children were growing up Tom worked as a plumber. He then started working for the District of Columbia as a Plumbing Inspector. After Tom retired he had plenty of time for his grandchildren. He was on call for all of them. If they needed help with anything he was there. Then the great grand children began to arrive. Tom continued to be a loving, kind, generous and patient GREAT grandpa, dad and husband. No words can describe the unyielding bond Tom had with his family. He will always be with us... Family and Friends. On Wednesday October 10, 2012 Thomas M. Teutsch, Sr., passed away.
