imothy Wayne Connelly, 62, a 36 year resident of Edgewater, MD passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Friday, February 26, 2016 after a 9 year battle with breast cancer. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, DeDe Connelly; his daughter Michelle Wilson, her husband Jeffrey and their child Miranda Melody of Millersville; his daughter Maria Underwood, her husband Bryan and their children, Ethan Timothy, Ava, and Isabella, of Wake Forest, NC; and his daughter Theresa March, her husband Joseph and their children, Layna, Landon and Olivia, of Columbia; his mother Catherine Connelly; and his siblings Lee Connelly, Robert Connelly, Patty Waller, Daniel Connelly, Theresa Connelly and Margret Burkhart. He is preceded in death by his father Kenneth Connelly and brother Edward Connelly. Tim attended St. Mary's Seminary in Northeast, PA, studying the Catholic faith. He later studied architecture at Anne Arundel Community College and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. From a young age, Tim enjoyed building and he made a career as an architect. He spent many years as the Director of Home Design for Chesapeake Custom Homes, designing beautiful custom homes for people who had an idea of what they wanted in their dream home. Tim had the vision and skills to make that dream come true. He was an avid and competitive golfer, spending a few days a week on the course. He was a master home chef, enthusiastically and courageously trying new recipes. He was also a proud gardener, happily sharing his crop with his friends and family. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help where he served as an usher and parish corporator, a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus The Annapolis Council 1384, and a member of the International Order of the Alhambra where he served the Special Needs community. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Mid-Atlantic Cancer Support Group. Tim made an impact on everyone he met. He was an eternal optimist, able to find the silver lining in every situation. He was a family man, taking special delight in his grandchildren. He welcomed people into his home with joy and enthusiasm. He will be deeply missed. His viewing is scheduled for Monday, February 29, 2016 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Kalas Funeral Home 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD. On Tuesday, March 1, 2016, a viewing will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church 515 Loch Haven Road, Edgewater, MD from 9:30 to 10:30am. A mass of Christian burial will be held immediately after. Graveside service to follow mass at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, 900 W Central Avenue, Davidsonville, MD.
