n March 2, 2024, Tindaro Buglisi (age 90) of Temple Hills, Maryland peacefully passed away at home surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife Salvatora (Mirabile) Buglisi of over 71 years; his two sons Beniamino Buglisi (Charlotte) of Harrington, DE, and Riccardo Buglisi (Diana) of Owings, MD; his sister Domenica Buglisi of Bafia, Sicily (Italy); and his 13 grandchildren, Angelina, Tony, Steve, Ben, Nino, Chris, Danielle, Frankie, Angie, Desi, Bianca, Nicole and Riccardo. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Giuliana, Anthony, Milania, Cash, Royal, Reyna, Legend, Alana, Jackson and Nicolas; as well as a host of beloved nieces and nephews and many other extended family members. Born in Bafia, Sicily on October 27, 1933, he was the youngest of nine children of Filippo Buglisi and Venera Torre. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Marcello Buglisi and siblings, Maria Buglisi, Filippo Buglisi, Anna Buglisi, Carmela Buglisi, Carmelo Buglisi, Natale Buglisi and Domenico Buglisi. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend to so many who will miss him. He loved spending time with his family and friends, gardening and watching sports. Making Italian wine was one of his passions. He took pride in selecting the best grapes, crushing them, fermenting the grape juice in oak barrels, and bottling the wine with care. He loved to share his wine with his family and friends, who always praised his skill and taste. He was a kind, generous, and witty man who always had a smile on his face and a story to tell. He touched the lives of many people with his warmth and wisdom. Relatives and friends are invited to Tindaro's Life Celebration on Thursday, March 14 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the KALAS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD 20745. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, March 15, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2210 Callaway Street, Hillcrest Heights, MD 20748. Entombment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Rd., Clinton, MD. Memorial contributions can be made to Holy Family Catholic Church and Holy Rosary Church, in Washington, DC; and Catholic Masses.
