Tomas B. Gomez - Obituary

omas B Gomez passed away peacefully to be with our Lord on June 11, 2018 at Southern Maryland Hospital. Tom, or ‘Daddy’ as everyone calls him, was born in Pampanga, Philippines on March 7, 1955. He came to America when he was 31 years old. He worked at PMI until he retired and was an active member of their church - Christ Green Pastures Ministries. He was an avid Manny Pacquiao and Redskins fan. He loved going to Rosecroft, watching sports, news and current event and was well passionate about political and social welfare awareness. He was a devoted husband of Imelda Castro for 17 years and a loving father to Donna, Dominique, Donmhel, and Crystal Joy. He was also a very proud grandfather to Miranda, Yumi, Ythan, and Clyde. He is survived by his siblings - Virginia, Magdalena, Romeo, Emmanuel, Milagros, Moises, Patria, Leonor, Wenceslao, Peter and Evelyn and his many Nieces and Nephews. We will miss his kind, funny and generous heart. We will love him forever and always. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Tomas’ life. Tomas’ Celebration of Life will be held at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD 20745 on Friday, June 22 from 2 - 4pm and 6 - 8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Piscataway Rd., Clinton MD 20735 on Saturday, June 23 at 11am with a reception to follow at Green Olive Buffet at 7405 Richmond Highway, Alexandria VA 22306.
