assed away on Friday, December 14, 2012 at the age of 95 with his beloved wife, Wilma Thorne, of 70 years at his side at their home in Ft. Washington, MD; father of Sam (Caren) Thorne, Donnie (Jerri) Thorne, Mary Russel, Linda (Gene) Libby, Dicky Thorne, Brenda Veazey and Angie (Tommy) Shane; grandfather of Jeff (Denise) Perlin, Bonnie (Dale) Carpenter, Eddie (Kim) Libby, Sandy (Art) Morelli, Debbie (Chris) Husfelt, Glenn (Ronda) Libby, Susie (Kevin) Delancey, Crissy Thorne, Mary Ellen Russel, Terri (John) Douglass, Kacie Sturgill, Andy Thorne, Leslie Thorne, Jason (Jessica) Auth Jr., DeAnna Auth, Jake Veazey and Jessie Bodecker. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to Troy's Life Celebration on Tuesday, December 18 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD where services will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 11:30am. Interment Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.
