Venkata S. Kowtha - Obituary

enkata S. Kowtha, “Chainulu”, a 20-year resident of Central Maryland, died on August 16, 2020, in Howard County, MD following a stroke. Born December 1927 in India, he earned a bachelor degree in Engineering. Chainulu’s career spanned the textile and fashion industries. He volunteered his time as an election monitor in Howard County, and was an active member of Sri Siva Vishnu Temple and Chinmaya Mission. Chainulu was an avid sports fan who enjoyed International Cricket, Tennis, and Golf. He also enjoyed keeping up with the latest news. Chainulu was preceded in death by his wife, Janaki. He is survived by four children, five siblings, six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Final Hindul rites will be held on Wednesday, August 19 at 11am. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
