Verna R. Pierce - Obituary

erna "Vern" R. Pierce, 94, a resident of Annapolis/Edgewater, MD for over 50-years and previously of Pittsburgh area, died on Monday, September 9, 2019, in Easton, MD, of congestive heart failure. Born December 28, 1924 in Buffalo, NY, she worked as a small business owner. Verna was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Pierce and her daughter, Sherri L. Pierce. She is survived by her son,Rand C. Pierce of Myrtle Beach, SC; four grandchildren, Bryan, Charles, and Kristine Pierce, and Devon Hall and four great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to celebrate Verna's life on Saturday, September 28 from 1 to 3 pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD.
