ern passed unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at the age of 81. He was born in Washington D.C. and joined the Marine Corps at the age of 17.He later returned to school and graduated from Georgetown University Law School, after which he became a very well respected and successful attorney. He was dearly loved and will be sorely missed. He was the loving son of the late Everett "Sam" and Violet C. Haas. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Brown Haas; loving and devoted father of Mary Kathleen Hoy and Susan Elizabeth Haas; caring grandfather of Jennifer Sue Hoy and Sarah Elizabeth Hoy. He is also survived by his dear brother, Robert L. Haas and numerous other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to Mr. Haas' Life Celebration at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD on Sunday from 6 to 8pm, where services will be held on Monday, August 24 at 11am. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery.
