Vincent L. Salvatori - Obituary

incent “Vince” Louis Salvatori, 86, a 28-year resident of Annapolis, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Vince was born on April 22, 1932, in Philadelphia, PA to the late Louis and Lydia Salvatori. Vince was a graduate of Penn State University, where he earned a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering. He served his country in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Germany 1949-1950 and England 1951-52. Vince was a 40-year member of the Annapolis Yacht Club and enjoyed sailing on the Chesapeake Bay and diving in the Caribbean. In 1968, he helped found, and later became Chairman and CEO of QuesTech, Inc., an engineering consulting firm in Northern Virginia (acquired by CACI., Inc. in 1998) and Chairman of Dynamic Egineering, Inc., of Newport-News, VA. He stayed active on several boards over the next 20 years. Vince is survived by his wife of 29 years, Carol Hope Rissmiller Salvatori; four children, Robert Louis Salvatori of Richmond, VA, Leslie Ann Salvatori of Kent Island, MD, Sandra Ann Salvatori of Annapolis, MD, and Stephanie Marie Salvatori of South Riding, VA; and one brother, Egisto Federico Salvatori of Atwater, CA. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Nicholas, Cullen, Liam, Caden, Gina and Jaida Crook, Rachel Salvatori, Brittni and Maria Togni; and one great-granddaughter, Gianna Barnes. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Vince’s life on Sunday, May 20, 2018, from 2 to 5 pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD.
