irginia Archambo, 87, a 20-year resident of Heritage Harbour died of natural causes on Sunday, December 19, at Riva Trace Assisted Living in Arnold. She was born on February 8, 1923 in Erie, PA and worked at Goddard Space Flight Center as a computer operator until her retirement in 1985. Virginia was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Crofton for more than 20 years and was very active at the South County Senior Center.
Virginia was predeceased by her husband, James E. Archambo, who died in 1993. She is survived by one son, Allan Archambo of Galesville, MD, and two daughters, Karen McLaughlin of Riva, MD and Pamela Moore of Bowie, MD. Also survived by seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Friends are invited to Virginia’s Life Celebration on Tuesday, December 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD 21037. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 22, at 9 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1370 Defense Highway, Crofton, MD 21114. Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
