irginia Jean “Ginny” Buckley, 89, passed away at 2 pm EST on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. Born on February 13, 1935 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Ruby Powell and Paul Butler Medford, Ginny grew up in Cowan, Tennessee and attended Franklin High School. She worked for Joseph Bean's law office prior to moving to California. She later moved to Maryland, where she worked for the Department of Defense for 35 years. She also volunteered for Good Shepherd Elementary in Decherd, Tennessee from 1994 to 1998. Ginny was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and was a world traveler, a bird watcher and a polka dancer. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Donald Buckley from Winchester, Tennessee whom she married on February 27, 1953; her older sister, Lois Medford and a younger twin sister, Margaret Jane Medford Rorrick. Ginny is survived by her three children, Donna Jean (Duncan) Juergenson, William Paul and John Phillip (Nancy Bonnar) Buckley; her grandchildren, Nicholas Aaron and Stephen Richard Juergenson, Andrew Joshua, Jaccob Daniel, Katarinia, William Paul, Jr., Samantha Taylor and William Hunter Buckley and her great grandchildren, Arkin Mallory Juergenson, Parker, Annie Rose and Jaxxson Buckley. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life in Tullahoma, Tennessee at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Harris Chapel in Tullahoma, Tennessee, the Alzheimer's Association or Saint Jude Children's Hospital.
