Virginia Jarnagin - Obituary

irginia “Ginny” G. Jarnagin, 68, a 7-year resident of Shanks, WV, died July 12, 2011 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. Virginia was born March 22, 1943 in Washington, DC, to the late Lonnie and Catherine Brightwell Hodge. She was raised in Temple Hills, MD and was a homemaker most of her life. She loved spending time with family, crafts, gardening and she especially loved being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was predeceased by her first husband, Paul E. Porter; her second husband, Richard Jarnagin; one son-in-law, Dominick Morrone; and two brothers, Lonnie Hodge and John Hodge. She is survived by two daughters, Peggy Morrone and Paula (Les) Brown, both of Hedgesville, WV; one grandson, Lester (Marquita) Brown of Hedgesville, WV; two great-grandchildren, Dierks David and Makaylee Brown; two brothers, Melvin Hodge of Waldorf, MD and Thomas Hodge of Charlotte Hall, MD; also survived by her 5 nieces and nephews, Johnny, Debbie, Brian , Amy and Steven. Friends are invited to a celebration of Ginny’s Life on Saturday, July 23 at 11am at Bean Settlement Church of the Brethren, 7425 N. River Rd., Baker, WV. Interment private.
