irginia Ruth Kelly, “Babe,” 91, a resident of Eastport, passed away on February 8, 2017, at Future Care Chesapeake in Arnold, where she was recovering from a fall. Virginia was born on January 10, 1926, in Butler, Pennsylvania to the late Roy and Alberta King. She was a homemaker and in the ‘50’s worked for Fitzgerald Laboratories and Richwood Doll Factory. In 1980 she and her husband moved to Port St. Lucie, FL. In 1989 they moved to Seaford Delaware until the death of her husband Bernard P. Kelly in 1992. She later moved back to Annapolis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard P. Kelly. Virginia is survived by two daughters, Sandy Bennett-Ward and her husband, Dewey of Annapolis, MD and Carol Eshleman and her husband, Jim of California; three grandchildren, Mark (JoAnne) Bennett of Annapolis, Michael (Melissa) Bennett of Mooresville, NC and Jason Eshleman of California; a great-grandson Dawson Bennett of N.C.; sister-in-laws, Catherine Daywalt of Annapolis and Elizabeth Wojnaroski of Hagerstown, MD; a brother-in-law, Clausen Kelly and his wife, Lonnie of Arnold, MD; and several nieces and nephews. Virginia selflessly donated her body to further scientific research. A private interment will take place at Cedar Bluff Cemetery in Annapolis. Virginia was a huge animal lover, so her family asks that memorial contributions be made to Rude Ranch Animal Rescue, 3200 Ivy Way, Harwood, MD 20776.
