Virginia E. Lowman - Obituary

irginia Moreland Lowman, 97, a longtime resident of Edgewater, MD, died on January 12, 2018, at her daughter's house in Edgewater, MD. Virginia was born June 3, 1920, in Jewell, MD to the late James and Elva Moreland. She was a homemaker whose family meant everything to her. She was a wonderful daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who was dearly loved by her entire family. In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Frank T. Lowman, Jr., whom she married November 11, 1942, and died on July 3, 1972; and a brother, James (Wilton) Moreland. She is survived by her son, Frank T. Lowman, III (Joyce Lester) and a daughter, Mary Rybak (Pete) both of Edgewater. Also, she leaves behind two grandsons, Frank T. Lowman, IV and Chris Rybak (Liz); granddaughter, Anne Hovermale; great-grandchildren, Frank T. Lowman, V, Travis and Haley Lowman, Bryce Lowman; great-great-grandchildren, Delaney and Frank T. Lowman VI. Friends are invited to celebrate Virginia's life on Tuesday, January 16 from 6 to 8 pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD, where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 17 at 11 am. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery.
