Walter Herr - Obituary

alter "Wally" D. Herr died at Anne Arundel Medical Center on Saturday, October 18, 2014. He was 66. Born August 22, 1948 in Washington, D.C., he graduated from Bladensburg High School. Walter served in the U.S. Navy and did two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was self employed as a Patent Researcher. Walter enjoyed sailing, chess, backgammon and playing cards. He was the beloved son of the late Harry Ivan and Gertrud Augusta Herr; brother of Brent (Debra) of Upper Marlboro, MD and George (Jean) Herr of Seaford, DE, Barbara (Albert) Murphy of Lothian, MD and the late Michael Jim Herr. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many friends. Family and friends may call at George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Friday, October 24 from 3 to 5pm. Interment private.
