anda Jo Caesar, age 80, a two year resident of Edgewater, MD and previously of Upper Marlboro, MD died on Sunday, September 26 at South River Health & Rehabilitation Center in Edgewater, MD.
Born on May 1, 1930 in Oklahoma City, OK to the late Samuel and Lou Frost, Wanda Jo graduated from high school in Oklahoma City and was a homemaker for most of her life. From 1983-95 she worked as a secretary at Shawsheen Valley Technical High School, Billerica, MA. A member of Chapter 212 Order of the Eastern Star in Billerica, MA for sixty plus years, the First Baptist Church in Tewksbury, MA and past president of the Grange in Andover, MA. Wanda Jo loved music, playing the accordion, the piano, roller skating, traveling, camping and singing in the church choir.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence G. Caesar; 3 sons, Lawrence A. Young of McLean, VA, Harold S. Caesar of Gurnee, IL and Darrin D. Caesar of Raleigh, NC; 3 daughters, Janice Y. Young of Arvada, CO, Cheryl A. Wilson of Ft. Washington, MD and Ina F. Dixon of West Haven, CT; a brother, James S. Frost of Kingston, OK; 2 sisters, Lorene Baldwin of Harrah, OK and Muriel J. Gatlin of Mustang, OK, ten grandchildren and one great-grandson. Wanda Jo was pre-deceased by a brother, Warner D.C. Frost and 2 sisters, Pauline Nation and Louise Harvell.
A committal service will be held on Thursday, October 28 at 3:00 pm at the Arlington National Cemetery Columbarium. (Those attending are asked to gather at the Administration Building at 2:30 pm.) In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
