Warren D. Bourquin, Jr. - Obituary

W

arren D. Bourquin, Jr., 94, a resident of Pines in the Severn in Arnold for 51 years and previously of Severna Park, died at home on May 28, 2022. Born in Philadelphia on October 8, 1927 to the late Warren and Frances Bourquin. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Johns Hopkins University. Warren honorably served his country in the US Army following WWII and the Merchant Marines. He worked for many years in the purchasing department at Westinghouse until retirement. He was a former member of the Severn River Lions Club. In addition to his family, Warren loved his daily exercise which included running almost every day until he took up biking then switched to walking. He also enjoyed sailing although the family’s desires and the boats never seemed to match up. Carpentry was a passion that gave him the skills to build out the house in the Pines. Gardening followed which may, or may not, have led to a failed Christmas tree farm in the backyard. Warren is survived by his wife, Patricia; his sons, Douglas D. (Joan) Bourquin of Severna Park and Robert A. Bourquin of Nashville, TN; his granddaughters, Megan (Jochen Weigele) Bourquin and Hannah (Justin) Loureiro; and his great grandchildren, Caleb, Ty and Micah Loureiro. In addition to his parents, Warren was preceded in death by two sons, Robert W. and David M. Bourquin. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Warren’s name may be made to the CF Foundation, 4550 Montgomery Avenue, Suite 1100N, Bethesda, MD 20814. Please leave a condolence for the family by signing the guestbook at the Memories tab located on this page.
