Warren Lee Ireland - Obituary

arren Lee Ireland, 84, of Edgewater, MD, died on Thursday, March 18 at his home. Born on October 24, 1936 to the late Plummer and Elizabeth Rogers Ireland, Warren was a heavy equipment operator with the Anne Arundel County Public Works Department. He was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Lothian, MD and enjoyed watching the Baltimore Orioles. He also enjoyed watching the Baltimore Ravens with his niece, Betty Dove, on Sundays. Warren also liked to hunt rabbits and squirrels with his beagles, play horseshoes and shoot pool. He also enjoyed spending time with his beloved fur baby Sadie. He was preceded in death by his second wife, Delores Lawson Ireland, whom he married in 2004; his former wife, Nancy Asquith Ireland and his siblings, James “Tink”, Steve, Francis and Ruby Ireland, Evelyn “Darlene” Armiger and Hilda Dove. He is survived by his children, Chris Ireland, Sr. and Kim Ireland (Brandon) Dove; his sister, G. Irene Dove; his grandchildren, Christopher Ireland, Jr., Jennifer Peterson, Ashlee and Zachary Dove, four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to celebrate Warren’s life at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Wednesday, March 24 from 10 am until his funeral service begins at 11 am.
