Warren A. Oliver, Sr., 87, a resident of New Bern, NC and previously of Derwood, MD, died of natural causes on January 26, 2023 in Crofton, MD.

Born on October 17, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY to the late William Oliver and Claire Levy Oliver, Warren graduated from City College of New York and served in the US Army where he attained the rank of First Lieutenant. He enjoyed a lengthy career in the Federal Government where he worked for the US Treasury Department. Warren was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in New Bern and enjoyed traveling, cooking, music and making people laugh.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margaret “Peggy” Oliver; his children, Claire (Tim) Spencer of Crofton, MD, Warren (Heidi) Oliver of Atlantic Beach, FL and Lorraine (Steve) Stasny of Tioga, WV and his grandchildren, Andy, Mike, John, Zeb, Emily and Mary Kate Stasny and Gregory and Kennan Spencer. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you simply pay an act of kindness forward, or make someone laugh as he loved to tell or hear a good joke.
