Wayne T. Kosmerl - Obituary

ayne Thomas Kosmerl, a 51-year resident of Annapolis, MD, and formerly of Shoemakersville, PA, passed away on November 8, 2024. Wayne grew up on the Rolling Acres Dairy Farm in PA and attended Gettysburg College, where he was a proud Kappa Delta Rho, graduating in 1969 as a history major. From there he went to the University of Maryland Law School. He served as a law clerk with the Attorney General's office in Annapolis, MD and passed the bar in July of 1972. In addition, he was in the ROTC and served our country as a Lieutenant in the US Army. He was a partner at Council, Baradel, Kosmerl and Nolan P.A. where he spent his entire legal career. Wayne was an active member of the Annapolis Yacht Club for 40 years, the Annapolitan Club, and the Southern Maryland Society. He was an avid reader of non-fiction, and an antique toy and train collector. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Helen Kosmerl, his brother, Frankie, and his step-son, Danny Gerety. He is survived by his loving wife, Margie; his three daughters, Jen Gerety, Sarah (Kyle Davis) and Lizzie; his sister, Nancy Machamer; his nephews, Scott (Jocelyn) Machamer and Randy (Marcie) Machamer; and his in-laws, the Metzler family. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Wayne's life on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 11:30 am (visitation at 11:00 am) at Bay Area Community Church, 884 Chesterfield Rd. Annapolis MD 21401.
