Wendell Lilly - Obituary

endell E. Lilly, Sr., 85, a 65-year resident of Annapolis, MD died on October 9, 2010 at Anne Arundel Medical Center of natural causes. Born February 8, 1925 in Beckley, WV, he owned Lilly Construction Company for many years. Wendell was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Knights of Pythias. He was an avid golfer, loved to dance, travel and read. Wendell was the beloved husband of Marie P. Lilly, whom he married on May 25, 1991; father of Wendell (Christine) Lilly, Jr. of Crownsville, MD, Glen Lilly of Edgewater, MD, Erol (Gina) Lilly of Kent Island, MD, Sylvie (Rick) Louive of Minerva, OH and the late Lynn Harris; brother of Billy Lilly of Baltimore, MD. He is also survived 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Friends are invited to Wendell’s Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Thursday from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm, where services will be held on Friday, October 15 at 10am. Interment Lakemont Memorial Gardens.
