William Blowe - Obituary

illiam Thomas “Tom” Blowe, III, age 52, a six year resident of Conway, SC and formerly of Edgewater, MD died on Monday, August 22, 2011 at his residence. Born in Annapolis, MD, Tom grew up on Glebe Creek in Edgewater and was the son of Roselee Hinkle Blowe, formerly of Riverton, WV and currently of Edgewater, MD and the late William Thomas Blowe, Jr. Most recently he worked at the Sheraton Broadway Plantation Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC and was an avid NASCAR fan, his favorite driver being Dale Earnhardt, Sr. Tom was also a devoted fan of the Washington Redskins and enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles, restoring muscle cars, hunting, crabbing and fishing. In addition to his father, Tom was predeceased by his sister, Carolyn Ann Anthony his father in law, Walter Oliver Aliff, Sr. and stepfather Kent Lightner. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of twenty-eight years, Carolyn Aliff Blowe; a son, William Thomas Blowe, IV; a daughter, Jenifer Nicole (Steven) Riddei and a granddaughter, Kailyn Riddei all of Conway, SC; six sisters, Donna Ann Griffith, Vicki Thomas, Edie Squires (Charlie Kamm) and Rosie Blowe, all of Edgewater, MD, Patricia Ann Luttrell of Loudon, VA and Linda Hodson of Staunton, VA; two brothers, Eddie (Denise) Blowe of Edgewater, MD and Tommy (Nancy) Blowe of Herndon, VA; mother in law, Betty Aliff of Bunkerhill, WV; brothers in law, Wayne (Patty) Aliff of Hedgesville, WV, Ronnie, David and Dennis Aliff all of Bunkerhill, WV and Junior (Debbie) Aliff of Conway, SC; five nieces, Charlene Aliff, Candy Johnson, Nicki and Kasey Blowe and Deaven Squires; seven nephews, Chad Griffith, Dwayne, Brian, T.J., and Curtis Aliff, Michael Purcell and Kyle Mendoza. Friends are invited to Tom’s Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Thursday, August 25 from 2 to 4 and 7:30 to 9pm, where funeral services will be held on Friday, August 26 at 10:00am. Private interment will be at North Fork Memorial Cemetery in Riverton, WV at a later date.
