illiam "Bill" Warrington Carr, 83, of Edgewater, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2018, after a brief illness. William was born to the late Lewis and Gladys Carr on March 21, 1934. Bill was self-employed for most of his life working as a carpenter, boat captain, scuba diver, and mechanic.
He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Lothian. Bill enjoyed airplanes, boats, motorcycles, and inventions, but his greatest pleasure came through teaching others what he had learned himself.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Joanne Duckett Carr; and a sister. He is survived by his three children, Mark (Laura) Carr, Vicki L. Taylor, and Sheri A. (Mike) Kloby all of Edgewater, MD; seven grandchildren, John Taylor, David Carr, Amy Tesar, Christine Kloby, Rebecca Sprague, Sarah Kloby, and Shannon Carr; four great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister. A celebration of Bill's life will be held at a later date.
