William Henry Cawthorne, VI - Obituary

illiam Henry Cawthorne "Billy" passed away suddenly on August 26, 2023. Billy was born to William Henry Cawthorne Jr. and Jennifer Ann White on June 26, 1987, in Silver Spring, MD. He lived in Maryland his entire life graduating, working, marrying, and raising his family in Anne Arundel County MD. He found his way back to Kristen Leanne Sofley and they married in 2021. In addition to his wife, Billy is survived by his three children, Cameron, Aryana, and Dominic; his parents William (Teresa) Cawthorne Jr. and Jennifer (Mathew Reidy) White; his grandmothers Nancy White and Pamela Maxie; and his sisters, Kelly Akin, Kari Cawthorne, and Samantha Cawthorne. He was a fun-loving cousin, an incredible uncle to many nieces and nephews, and a beloved nephew to his aunts and uncles. After graduating from South River High School in 2005, Billy went on to work alongside his father in the family vending business, where he learned the trade and held multiple positions until his passing. Billy was a very kind, loving, and caring man. His greatest accomplishments and overwhelming pride were his three children and wife. He enjoyed every aspect of fatherhood from skiing, camping, hiking, dirt biking, sporting events, and bowling. Billy had a passion for traveling with his family and cooking. His precious heart, beautiful smile, and kind soul will be sadly missed every day. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Billy’s life on Saturday, September 2 from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD, with a funeral service immediately following at 12:30 p.m. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Billy's GoFundMe to offset funeral costs.
