William Reed Grierson - Obituary

illiam Reed “Bill” Grierson, 70, a resident of Annapolis, MD, died on Monday, November 1 in Annapolis, MD. Born on November 21, 1950 in Baltimore, MD to the late Catherine Rosella Grierson Black and Thomas Edward Grierson, Jr., Bill owned and operated Grierson’s Head Service and Machine Shop in Annapolis. He enjoyed working on his cars, car shows, drag racing and spending time with his family and friends. Bill is survived by his son, William R. Grierson, Jr.; his former wife, Margaret Grierson Parnell; his sister-in-law, Barbara Grierson; two nieces, Sheri (Carl) Tripodi and Karen (Michael) Lowe; and a nephew, Thomas Edward Grierson IV. He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Edward Grierson, III. Friends are invited to celebrate Bill's life on Monday, November 8 from 4 to 7 pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD where his funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 9 at 11 am. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Annapolis, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Hwy., Pasadena, MD 21122.
