William Lee Griffin - Obituary

illiam Lee Griffin, Jr., age 71, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2020. He was born October 14, 1948 in Ft. Worth, Texas to William Lee Griffin, Sr., and Iola (Cummings) Griffin. He was a 1966 graduate of Red Bank High School, NJ and Long Brach, NJ, School of Electronics in 1970. He was a 33rd Degree Freemason and a member of the American Legion Post #248, Temple Hills, MD. He was married to Deborah (Miller) Griffin, in Red Bank, NJ on July 27, 1968. He joined the U.S. Army in April 1974 as a Radio Dispatcher and Retired in 1997 with 23 years of Service as a Machinist/Welder and Military Educational Course Writer. He was a member of the Top Flight Corvette Club of Upper Marlboro, MD and the Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD Hunting Club. He is survived by his Wife of more then 51 years and Friend for always Deborah Griffin, daughter, Korron Griffin, U.S. Navy Retired with 22 years of service, Son, William Lee Griffin, III, his caregiver, 6 Grandchildren, 2 Great-Grandchildren, sisters, Joan Williams and Eva Griffin, and brother Alfred Griffin, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
