illiam Francis "Will" Hanrahan, 84, a resident of Annapolis for five years and previously of Albuquerque, NM died suddenly on August 24, 2016, at Anne Arundel Medical Center due to an aortic dissection.
Born on June 2, 1932, in Glen Cove, NY to the late William and Genevieve Hanrahan, Will graduated from St. Dominic's High School in Oyster Bay, NY and earned a degree in civil engineering from North Carolina State University. He served in the U.S. Army at Ft. Sill, OK where he was a light aircraft mechanic and carpenter. Will had a lengthy career as a civil engineer with the Federal Highway Administration. He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution. He loved reading anything about history or cars. He also enjoyed swimming, weight lifting, hiking and biking.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith.
Will is survived by his daughters, Margaret (Larry) Mocniak of Annapolis, MD and Theresa (William) Schuster of Aiken, SC; his brother, Quentin Hanrahan of Putnum Valley, NY, and his granddaughters, Melanie and Samantha Mocniak and Sarah Schuster.
