William J. MacQuilliam - Obituary

illiam “Bill” J. MacQuilliam, a 30 year resident of Annapolis, and previously of Virginia and Florida, passed away on Sunday November 8, 2009 at Anne Arundel Medical Center of natural causes. Bill was 69. Born March 23, 1940 in Washington, DC to the late Joseph H. and Alice M. MacQuilliam, he was a self employed builder/developer working in the Washington DC Metro area. He was the president of The MacQuilliam Organization. Bill was a member of numerous home building associations, the Annapolis Yacht Club and St. Mary's Parish in Annapolis. His hobbies included power boating, sailing, travelling and fine dining. He is survived by his wife Shari S. MacQuilliam, whom he married in August of 1984; his children Danny MacQuilliam and his wife Brenda of Crownsville, MD, Christopher, Kelly and Brittany MacQuilliam, all of Annapolis, MD; his sisters, Kathy Caponiti of Gaithersburg, MD and Pat Rawlings of Dunedin, Florida. Also survived by his grandchildren, Wesley, Matthew, Kevin, Kyle. Bill was predeceased by his granddaughter Samantha. Friends are invited to Bill's Life Celebration at the Podickory Point Yacht and Beach Club, 2116 Bay Front Terrace, Annapolis, MD on Saturday, November 14 from 2 to 5pm.
