William Moore - Obituary

illiam Hawley Moore of Edgewater, MD passed away on August 14, 2015 at his home at the age of 84. William was born on June 6, 1931 in Charlotte, NC to the late Alfred and Emily Moore. After graduating high school, William joined the Navy in 1950 and was assigned to the USS Coral Sea where he served honorably until his return to civilian life in 1954. William's love of nature took him on many camping adventures where he would experience the great outdoors while fishing, canoeing and biking. He also enjoyed the competitive world of model air planes and HO scale trains. William was predeceased by his wife Shirley Moore in 2001. He is survived by his son, William Moore, Jr, of Odenton, MD; and daughters, Betsy Alfaro, of Edgewater, MD, Deborah Beckford of Pasadena, MD, and Alice Moore of Odenton, MD.
