William Palmer - Obituary

illiam Albert Palmer William Albert Palmer, “Bill”, a lifelong resident of Edgewater, died on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 under hospice care at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Bill was born December 17, 1953 in Annapolis to the late Anthony and Dorothy Palmer and was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Annapolis. Bill graduated from the University of MD with a Bachelor degree in horticulture and worked as a highly respected Greenhouse Production Manager at Homestead Gardens in Davidsonville; retiring after 32 years. Bill was a self taught organist who enjoyed collecting organs and making decorative wreaths and planters for family and friends. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother Thomas A. Palmer. He is survived by one brother, Raymond A. Palmer of Edgewater, two sisters; Toni Ann Fitzpatrick of Ft. Pierce, Florida and Peggy Palmer of Edgewater. Family and friends are invited to Bill’s Life Celebration on Sunday from 1 to 3pm and from 6 to 8pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater where a funeral service will be held on Monday, February 17, at 9am. Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suitland, MD.
