William Pine - Obituary

illiam H. Pine, “Buddy”, a 26-year resident of Millersville and previously of Gambrills, died on Friday, July 29, 2011 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Buddy was born May 28, 1943 in Bronx, NY to the late Richard and Isabella Pine. He attended Ohio State University until he enlisted in the United States Air Force. During his military career, Buddy proudly served in Korea. He was a member of the Jaycees in Greenbelt, MD where he was Jaycee of the year. Buddy was a skilled carpenter and built his own home. His interests included spending time with his four grandsons and sailing. Buddy is survived by his wife of 44 years, Christine M. Pine, his daughters, Christine Basham of Lexington Park, MD and Denise Pine of Millersville, MD; brothers Richard Pine and Steven Bolz. Also survived by his four grandsons; Daniel, Joseph Timothy and Gregory Basham. Friends are invited to Buddy’s Life Celebration on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 from 10am until Memorial Mass begins at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church, 1070 Cecil Ave S, Millersville, MD 21108-2201.
