William Wilkinson - Obituary

illiam H. “Bill” Wilkinson, Sr., 88, a lifelong resident of Annapolis, died December 4,2009 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Mr. Wilkinson was born November 26, 1921 in Croom, MD. He owned and operated E & B Appliance Repair Service in Annapolis for over 45 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Annapolis and loved gardening, cooking, working and most importantly his beloved family. Bill is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Wilkinson, whom he married on December 12,1942; his sons, Michael and Bill Wilkinson Jr. , both of Annapolis, MD; his daughters, Lillian Christine “Lily” Mali of Arnold, Md. and Mary E. Lamb of Annapolis, MD. Bill was preceded in death by his sons, the late James Henry, Gerard and Thomas David Wilkinson, Sr.,; his brothers, the late Herbert Canter, Phil, Bernie and Samuel Wilkinson, Sr. and his sister, the late Mary Walton Meyer. He is also survived by 14 Grandchildren and 23 Great Grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to Bill's Life Celebration on Thursday at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD. from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday December 11, at 10:30AM at St. John Neumann Catholic Church,620 Bestgate Road, Annapolis, MD. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
