illiam (Bill) Henry Wilkinson, Jr., a native Annapolitan, died of natural causes at AAMC on Tuesday, October 25, 2016. Born to William H. Wilkinson, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Williams, Bill attended local schools and graduated from Annapolis High School in 1970. Following in his family’s footsteps, he created his own business, Advanced Home Improvements, nearly 40 years ago. The company has received several awards and recognition for its quality of workmanship in the siding and window industry. Bill would attribute any success in life to his Christian faith. Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior became his “True North”. Bill’s gentle spirit, kind heart, infectious laugh, and his love and care of others was rooted in his knowledge that Christ loved and died for him while he was still a sinner. He was a part of the family of God as a serving member, passionate care group leader and elder in the New Covenant/ CrossPointe Church for almost four decades. Bill’s love of family was incredible, as evidenced by the forty or so guests at his home every Thanksgiving! He enjoyed cooking, baking his “infamous” chocolate chip cookies, feasting on steamed crabs, everything Eastern Shore, hunting and fishing, MD basketball, Appletop, his kitty Wheezer, and most importantly his amazing children and grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his father William H. Wilkinson, Sr., and two brothers, William Michael, and Thomas David Wilkinson. Survived by Bill are his mother, Mary ( Libby) Wilkinson; his wife of 24 years, Nancy; four children, Alexander “Chris” (Kate) Williams of Church Hill, Stephen (Kristen) Wilkinson of Long Beach, CA, David Wilkinson of Grasonville, and Rebecca (Calvin) Allen of Chesapeake, VA; two sisters, Lily (Michael) of Arnold, and Mary Lamb (Jimmy) of Annapolis; five grandchildren, Jackson, Isabella, Liam, Winston, and Elias Williams; his godmother Betty Woolford and his very own angel of mercy, Martha Christo. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, November 11, 2016, from 2-4 pm and 6-8pm at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd. Edgewater, MD. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at CrossPointe Church, 365 Jones Station Rd. Arnold, MD. In honor of Bill, the family encourages you to find a stranger to bless with a kind word, a cup of coffee, or other act of generosity and care. Blessings to All.
