Willie J. Hamilton - Obituary

illie J. Hamilton, 79, a resident of Annapolis, MD of over 60 years, died in Sarasota, FL on March 29, 2022, following an extended illness. Known to everyone as Bill, he was born in Wilmington, NC on December 19, 1942 to the late Willie and Mary Hamilton. Bill served honorably in the U.S. Army. Following his military service, he worked for the distribution department of Giant Food, retiring after 36 years. Bill was a big collector of sports memorabilia. He is survived by his siblings, Mary Ann (Charles) LaLonde of Bradenton, FL and John (Lori) Hamilton of El Cajon, CA; a nephew, Brent (Cathy) LaLonde; a niece, Kelly (Jim) McCloy; his special cousin and friend, Wendell Hobbs; his close friend, Charlie Bafiliko; and several great-nieces and nephews. A graveside service, with military honors, will be held on Thursday, April 14 at 10 am at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 1122 Sunrise Beach Rd., Crownsville.
