Willie McAllister - Obituary

illie James McAllister III, 53, of Oxon Hill, MD passed away on June 4, 2014 at Halquist Memorial Inpatient Center, in Arlington, VA. He was born on February 16, 1961, in Dunn, NC to Willie James McAllister II and the late Margie (Surles) McAllister. Willie was one that truly enjoyed life. He lived by the motto “Work Hard, Play Hard”. He was a very compassionate man that loved everyone, and everyone loved him. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to all that he encountered, and never expected anything in return. He was a loving husband and hard worker that always took care of his family. He enjoyed traveling, reading, fishing, and motorcycling just to a name few. In addition to his mother, Willie was predeceased by his brother Levon McAllister. Willie is survived by his Wife Phyllis McAllister, Sons Willie James McAllister IV (Abena), and Maurice Glenn II, his daughter Nikole Glenn (Leslie); Brothers Curtis McAllister, Nicolas McAllister (Belinda), Anthony McAllister (Katraya); Sisters Vivian Raiford (John), and Evelyn Wynn (James) ; and a host of nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to Willie's Life Celebration on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 from 11am until time of memorial service celebration at 12noon at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends immediately after service at 1414 Dunwoody Ave, Oxon Hill, MD 20745.
