Willie L. Washington - Obituary

r. Willie Linburgh Washington was born September 14, 1932 in Caroline County Dawn, VA, to Susie Chandler and William Washington. He joined First Calvary Baptist Church at an early age. He worked at the Coca-Cola plant for years, also Department of Public Works in D.C. Government where he retired. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. On Wednesday, January 2, 2019, he slipped quietly away into eternal rest. He leaves to mourn his wife Jennie; 3 sons Lawrence G. Washington, Damon Braxton, Roy Goodall; 11 grandchildren Taevon, Tayla, Jadah, Lawrence Jr., Layla, Damon Braxton, Damone Braxton, Damari Braxton; sister Mary James, Mareen Straus; brother-in-law Loyd Straus; in-laws Ruby Walter Camibell; a number of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. A Celebration of Life will be on Friday, January, 11, 2019 from 10 am until time of Memorial Service at 11 am at the KALAS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 6160 Oxon Hill Road, Oxon Hill, MD 20745.
