Yvonne Slone - Obituary

bituary Yvonne Maria Slone, 65, of Temple Hills, MD, beloved daughter of Fred and Ora Mae (Deceased) Slone, passed away November 13, 2014. Yvonne was born at Bay Memorial Hospital in Panama City, Florida, on September 9, 1949. She attended elementary school in Sausalita, CA, high school in Salinas, CA and graduated from San Jose State University in San Jose, CA. After college, Yvonne enlisted and served in the U. S. Army for nine years, attaining the rank of SFC (E-7). She served as an enlisted aide to former First Lady Laura Bush for 3 years. At the time of her death, she was employed by NOVAD Management Consulting, LLC. Survivors include her loving father, Fred (Betty), of Augusta, Ga., sister,Mildred Ann Hankins (Carl) of Clewiston, FI.; Her step brother Anthony F. Jones (Sandra) of Frankfurt, Germany, cousins, Anthony Andre Hankins,of Clewiston, FL., Kareem Jabbar Hankins (Nicole), of Atlanta, Ga., Barbara Ann Comer, Brenda Russ and Annie Jean Gordon, Larry Jones (Betty), Leon Jones (deceased) and Susan Allen, of Panama City, Fl., Charlene Adams of Brundrige, Ala., Betty Donalson Pritchett, of Atlanta, Ga., and Wanda Donalson Mitchell, of Washington, D. C., as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to Yvonne's Life Celebration on Thursday, November 20 from 11am until time of services at 12 noon at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD. Interment will be on Friday, November 21 at 10:30am at Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Rd., Clinton, MD.
