Beverly Ann Sassa - Obituary

everly Sassa passed away peacefully with family by her side on August 21, 2022 at Kensington Park Senior Living in Kensington, MD where she was lovingly cared for during the last six years. Beverly was 86 years old. She was born and raised in Washington, D.C. and graduated from Visitation Junior College. Beverly was a devoted Catholic and had great faith. She had many passions throughout her life including yoga, bridge club, travel, spending time with family and friends at Montgomery Square Pool, walking the boardwalk in Rehoboth, and spoiling her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband James Sassa and brother Joseph Jouvenal (Ellen) and was the loving mother of Nancy Sassa (Bob), Joanie Sassa (Dave), and Paul Sassa (Allison). Beverly was also the very proud grandmother of Sean and Matthew Finney, Katie and Caroline Grover, and Brooke and Daniel Sassa. She will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends are invited to Beverly’s Celebration of Life at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 9705 Summit Ave. Kensington, MD 20895 on Wednesday, August 31st. Visitation will take place at 10:30 a.m. at the church followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Kensington Park Employee Appreciation Fund 3620 Littledale Road, Kensington, Md 20895.
