Charles Henry Hugg, Sr. - Obituary

harles Henry Hugg, Sr., 99, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026. He was born on October 7, 1926, in Annapolis, MD to the late Ruth E. and Edward G. Hugg. Charles served in the Army from 1945 to 1946 with the 3rd and 9th Division in Europe as a military police officer. Following his honorable discharge from the military, he was a self-employed livestock dealer and farmer. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his loving wife of 80 years, Marilyn Lane. He is survived by his two sons; Rick (Diane) and Doug (Sharon); his grandchildren, Louis (Tina), Michael (Samantha), Heather (Ray), and Kelly (Joe); and his great-grandson, Grant. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Charles' life on Tuesday, May 26, from 10 to 11 AM at the Kalas Funeral Home and Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD where his funeral service will be held at 11 AM. Interment will follow at 12:30 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 1911 Forest Drive, Annapolis, MD.
