olleen Frances Junta passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026, surrounded by the love of family. She was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose life was marked by loyalty, strength, and deep care for those around her. Born to Eugene Junta and Mary Doris Junta (née Wood), Colleen grew up in a close-knit family that remained central to her life. She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene, and her sister, Christine Junta. In addition to her loving mother, Mary Doris Junta, Colleen is survived by her devoted sister, Jean Junta and her children, Marie Schwarm, her husband, Kyle, their son, Roman and daughter, Natalie Ellerbe and her fiancé, James Bailey. Colleen is also survived by her cherished brother, Stephen Giunta, his wife, Christina; and their children, Nicole and Stephen Jr. Colleen dedicated the majority of her professional life as a Director of Operations for a corporate real estate firm, where she was known for her exceptional organization, diligence, and reliability. She took great pride in her work and earned the respect of colleagues throughout her career. Outside of her professional life, Colleen built a rich and meaningful life filled with friendships. She had a gift for connection and maintained a wide circle of friends who cherished her deeply. She loved fiercely and showed up wholeheartedly for the people in her life, offering steady support, laughter, and unwavering loyalty. One of the most meaningful ways she gave back was through volunteering in the Anne Arundel Medical Center’s NICU, where her compassion and gentle presence brought comfort to the tiniest and most vulnerable patients. Her legacy is one of love, friendship, and quiet strength. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Friends are invited to visit with Colleen’s family on Wednesday, June 3 from 10AM until Mass of Christian Burial begins at 11AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 West Central Avenue, Davidsonville, MD 21035. Interment at 2PM at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton, MD. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Colleen’s memory to: Teddy’s Place at the Anne Arundel Medical Center NICU or Hospice of the Chesapeake.
