Patrick "Pat" Welch, 80, of Davidsonville, MD, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025. Born on March 29, 1945 in Baltimore, MD, to the late Robert and Virginia Welch, Pat lived a life of faith, service, and devotion. A proud patriot, he dedicated much of his career to serving his country with the FBI, where his commitment to integrity and perseverance left a lasting impact.
Pat's Catholic faith was central to his life, guiding his values and devotion to his family. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, living out his faith through service, fellowship, and charity.
Above all, Pat was most proud of the legacy he built with his beloved wife, Joan. Together they shared 40 years, 36 of marriage, filled with laughter, resilience, and unwavering love. His greatest joy was his family, and he poured himself into supporting and encouraging them every step of the way.
He will be remembered for his sharp wit, dry humor, and dad jokes; his love of ice cream, the “perfect ratio of frosting to cake”, dogs, and time shared with his children; and his steadfast example of perseverance, faith, and loyalty.
Pat is survived by his beloved wife, Joan; his children, Camille (JP), Grace (James), Rachel (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Brenden, Wren, and Paige: his brother, James and many extended family and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11AM on October 11 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 W. Central Avenue, Davidsonville, MD. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Project K9 Hero.
