Carolyn J. Green, 69, of Annapolis, died October 30 at her home. She was born August 18, 1945 in Baton Rouge, LA to the late Col. Merida and Sadie Castleberry. She is survived by one daughter, Tanya (Brian) Mekeal of Annapolis and three grandchildren, Benjamin, Hayden and Rachel Mekeal.

Kathleen Ann Plumb, 69, a nine year resident of Ocean City, MD and previously of Davidsonville, MD for 28 years died on October 30 in Ocean City due to a chronic illness. Born in Washington, D.C. on March 6, 1945 to the late Joseph Raymond and Barbara Estelle Herbert, Kathy was a graduate of Wheaton High School. A homemaker for most of her life, she was a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Ocean City and the Red Hat Society. Kathy enjoyed playing cards, board games, beach days, reading and conversing with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward H. Plumb, Jr. who died on February 8, 2005. She is survived by her daughter, Dawn M. Plumb of Ocean City, MD; two sons, Edward H. Plumb, III of Lothian, MD and Raymond V. William “Mac” McCready, 81, a 41 year resident of Arnold, died Wednesday, October 29. He was born on September 17, 1933 in Crisfield, MD. 
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Cordelia McCready, his former wife, Betty McCready, and one daughter, Debbie Roseberry.
 Surviving him are his wife of 41 years, Linda McCready; two sons, William, Jr. and Timothy McCready; four daughters, Kelly Brady, Jenny Robinson, Rebecca Pulley and Patti Smith; one sister, Nancy McCready; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Brother Jude J. Locchetto, OP, a faithful Catholic Brother in the Dominican Order for over 60 years died peacefully in the early morning of Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Carroll Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Washington, DC. He was born on December 29, 1933 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of Antonio and Assunta Locchetto. He attended Vera Junior High and Bak Vocational, Philadelphia. He entered the Dominican Order in 1953 and made his solemn profession at Sacred Heart Priory, Jersey City, New Jersey on October 8, 1958. He was in charge of the Sacred Heart Priory kitchen for over 47 years. He ministered at St. Rose Church, Springfield, Kentucky, St. Joseph Church, Somerset, OH, Sacred Heart, Jersey City, New Jersey and the Dominican House of Studies, Washington, DC and spent his last few years at St. Dominic’s Priory. He is survived by his sister, Annamarie Delauro and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings. Reception of Brother Lochetto will take place at 4 p.m. and Office for the Dead will take place at at 7 p.m. at Saint Dominic Church, 630 E Street SW, Washington, DC, on Friday, October 31 where Mass of Christian Burial, will be offered at 10 a.m., Saturday, November 1. James Walter “Jim” Phillips, 68, a longtime resident of Edgewater, MD, died at his home on October 28, 2014. Born on September 7, 1946 in Pennsylvania, Jim served in the U.S. Army and then worked as regional sales manager for Nilfisk of America. He loved vintage cars from the 1950s and 1960s and owned a 1967 and a 1968 Pontiac LeMans. A member of St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, the American Legion and Wheels of the Past Car Club, Jim enjoyed sailing, baseball, going to car shows and was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Jim is survived by his wife of 28 years, Sue W. Phillips; his daughter, Kristen Wray of Edgewater; his mother, Georgie Phillips, and his brother, Dennis Phillips, both of Virginia Beach, VA; his granddaughter, Londyn McMillian; and three nephews Chad, Nathan and Adam. Jean Ann Cummings, 69 of Brandywine, MD died on October 28,2014 at Georgetown University Hospital. The beloved wife of William T. Paul “Fritz” Gordon Myers, Jr., 83, a 28 year resident of the Northern Neck of Virginia and previously of Silver Spring, MD, died Saturday, October 25 of natural causes at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson, MD. He was born on October 13, 1931 in Washington, DC to the late Paul G. and Marie Myers and was a graduate of McKinley Tech in Washington, DC. After high school, Fritz served his country in the US Air Force, ending his service at the rank of Staff Sergeant. While serving, he was stationed in Texas, Mississippi, Germany and Nevada. After his military stint, he worked for the Sahara Casino in Las Vegas, Myers and Quigg in Washington, DC, Southern Road Contractors in Washington, DC and then in 1968 started his own family business, Applicators, Inc. in Silver Spring. He was a former chairman on the US Tennis Court and Track Builders Association. Fritz enjoyed watching sports and was a season ticket holder for the Washington Capitals at the Capital Centre and also for the Washington Redskins. 
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary M. Myers; two sons, Terrance P. Myers of Silver Spring and Timothy S. Myers of Sykesville; two daughters, Bonnie A. Buchanan of Davidsonville and Jean M. Silverman of Kensington; one sister, Suzann White of Clayton, CA; three grandsons, Andrew S. and Charles R. Myers and Eric Silverman; three granddaughters, Melissa Stoner, Megan Murray and Allison Silverman; five great-grandchildren, Colten and Amanda Stoner, Prina, Sadie and Nia Murray.

Mary "Lou" Conway Taylor, a resident of Annapolis, MD and previously of Washington, D.C. and Rehoboth Beach, DE died on Saturday, October 25 in Annapolis, MD. She was 88.
 
Born March 5, 1926 in Nitro, WV, she graduated from Dunbar High School in 1945 and from the Washington School for Secretaries in 1947. Lou was employed at the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Chamber of Commerce from 1967-77. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Rehoboth Beach, DE.

Adam Bagdasian, age 94, of Edgewater, MD and previously of Silver Spring, MD died of natural causes on October 24, 2014 at his home. Born in Norfolk, VA to the late Harry and Rosa Bagdasian, Adam grew up in Washington, D.C. He was an avid horseman who owned, trained and raced thoroughbreds in New York, Florida and New Orleans. Adam worked as a plumbing contractor in Washington, D.C. in the 1950’s and later owned a gas station and oil delivery business in Edgewater. In 1981 he financed the first “Adams the Place for Ribs” restaurant. He also served as a Sergeant in the Army National Guard, where he was an expert marksman who trained officers to handle a .45 automatic handgun. In addition to his parents, Adam was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Shirley J. Bagdasian, his brothers, Mike and Hike Bagdasian and his sister, Margaret Ingram. He is survived by his sons, John Hike Bagdasian of Miami, FL, William Adam Bagdasian of Davidsonville, MD and Peter Rimbos of Chicago, IL; his daughters, Mary Rosa and Donna Elizabeth Bagdasian both of Edgewater, MD and Patricia Mahan of Santa Barbara, CA; his sister, Helen Orange of Mt. Diane Houston McWilliams, 55, of Edgewater, MD died on October 23, 2014 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Born to Barbara and George “Skip” Houston, Diane worked for 18 years as an accounting technician at the Anne Arundel County Board of Education.

Michael Kenneth Miller, “Mike”, age 59, a resident of Annapolis died on October 21, 2014 at Anne Arundel Medical Center of natural causes. Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Kenneth and Patricia Miller, Mike was a graduate of Crossland High School in Temple Hills, MD. He served in the U.S. Army from 1974 to 1976 and worked as a stonemason with the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA). He enjoyed gun collecting, playing cards, cooking and spending time with his family. Rosemary "Rosie" Starner, age 49, born February 25, 1965, in Annapolis, Maryland, entered Heaven's gates on Monday night, October 20, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the youngest of six children born to the late Richard and Juanita Starner. She leaves to cherish her memory, three children, Amber Thacker, age 24, Brandi Washington, age 17 and John Wigginton, age 16; two grandchildren, Jayden Dinapoli, age 5 and Kodie Wright, age 3; and five siblings, Carol (Gary) Peek, Bonnie Starner, Leroy (Brenda) Starner, Jr., Darly (Cathy) Starner and Patricia Smith. Rosie will be remembered for her craziness, the smile she always wore and the joy and laughter she brought to others.

Bryan Edward Bailey, "Bry", a lifelong resident of Annapolis, MD died on October 19, 2014. He was 32.
 
Born July 7, 1982 in Annapolis, MD, he graduated from Broadneck high school. Bryan was a member of the Steamfitters Union. He was a dedicated father-to-be, loving uncle, and was faithful and loyal to his family and friends. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and constant smile.
 
Bryan was preceded in death by his father, Ray Charles Bailey, Jr.; and his grandparents, Ray Charles Bailey, Sr. and Jean Sylvia Morgan.
 
He is survived by his fiancée, Jenna Hess-Brown; his daughter, Bryleigh Rae Bailey; his mother, Donna Sanft; a brother, Ray Bailey, III; a sister, Heather Whittington; his grandparents, Frances Bailey and Isaac Edward Morgan; two nieces, Carmyn Whittington and Victoria Bailey; and one nephew, Jared Whittington, Jr.

Walter "Wally" D. Herr died at Anne Arundel Medical Center on Saturday, October 18, 2014. He was 66.
 
Born August 22, 1948 in Washington, D.C., he graduated from Bladensburg High School. Walter served in the U.S. Navy and did two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was self employed as a Patent Researcher. Walter enjoyed sailing, chess, backgammon and playing cards.
 
He was the beloved son of the late Harry Ivan and Gertrud Augusta Herr; brother of Brent (Debra) of Upper Marlboro, MD and George (Jean) Herr of Seaford, DE, Barbara (Albert) Murphy of Lothian, MD and the late Michael Jim Herr. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Emily Theresa White Hartman, a 35-year resident of Lothian, MD, died on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Solomons Care Center. She was 77.

Born February 3, 1937 in Baltimore City, MD, to the late Charles and Frances White, she was a 1955 graduate of Forest Park High School. Emily was employed as an administrative assistant for many local and state government agencies. She was a longtime member of St. James' Church in Lothian, MD. Emily enjoyed dancing with her husband, playing cards and traveling. She also loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald C. Hartman, whom she married on December 6, 1963 and who died on August 14, 2006; one sister, Lucile Marlatt and one brother James White.

Emily is survived by two sons, Larry D. Hartman and his wife, Kathy of Grove City, OH and Paul S. Hartman and his wife, Greta of Lusby, MD; one sister, Carole Bond of Ft. Worth, TX; four grandchildren, Matthew S. and Allison L. Hartman, both of Lusby, MD, Jeffrey Crawford of Hilliard, OH and Aimee Hines and her husband, Matt of Grove City, OH; and two great-grandchildren, Will and Ellie Hines.

Rebecca Jo Richardson Mayer
 
Rebecca Jo Richardson Mayer, of Stevensville, Md., died at Anne Arundel Medical Center on October 17, 2014 after a brief illness. Born on June 5th, 1960 in Charleston, WV, Becky grew up near the Chesapeake Bay, and graduated from Severna Park High School. She went on to graduate from the Fleet Business School of Annapolis, and then worked as an Office Manager at B&L Electric Co Inc. for more than thirty years. 
She is survived by her beloved husband of 31 years, John P. Mayer, and her mother Gayle Richardson of Arnold. Other survivors include four sisters and one brother: Lisa R. Miller of Shady Side, Pamela S. Wagner of Pasadena, Cheryl A. Cannon of Greenspring, WV , Nicola Moxey of Centreville MD, and Benjamin C. Richardson of Alexandria.

Timothy Ernest "Tim" Cox, 50, a lifelong resident of Edgewater, MD, died on October 17, 2014 in Crownsville, MD following a tragic accident.
 
Born in Annapolis on October 13, 1964 to the late William and Sally Cox, Tim worked for Mike Nichols of Tree World and was a well-known tree climber throughout the State of Maryland. In addition to his work, Tim enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing softball, slot machines, poker and Keno. Most of all, Tim loved spending time with his grandchildren.
 
Tim is survived by his son, Chris Marsellas of Frederick; daughter, Debbie Williams of Riva; four brothers, Mike Cox of Winchester, VA, Harvey Cox of Davidsonville, Rusty Cox of Ridgely, and Morris "Doots" Cox of Edgewater; one sister, Lisa Cox of Annapolis; three grandchildren, TJ, Shaelyn and Kali and a fourth granddaughter due in February; six nephews and nine nieces. Tim is also survived by his companion of 20 years, Jackie Dillon and her three children whom Tim loved and cared about as his own.
 
Friends are invited to a memorial gathering from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the American Legion Post 226, 380 Mayo Road, Edgewater. A service will be held during the gathering.

Beatrice Margaret Masters passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 16, 2014 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Arthur Masters, who passed away in 1987;a granddaughter, Melissa; a great-grandson, Brendan; and one brother, William Jones.
 
She is survived by her three children, Sandra Ann Tardy and her husband, Buzz of Snow Hill, MD, Brenda Heafner of Citrus Spring, FL and James Masters of Edgewater, MD; four grandchildren, Lisa, Carolyn, Sandee and Jay; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Carole Fager and her husband, Myrl of Emporium, KS.
 
Margaret, as she preferred to be called, was born in Mobile, AL to the late Willie Jones and Mary Ward Jones on March 18, 1928. She retired from the University of Maryland in 1998. Margaret loved bowling, bingo, traveling and especially special family events and gathering.

Darryl Edward Wright Jr., better known as “DJ”, age 20, of Annapolis MD, peacefully passed away October 16th, 2014. His fearless ambition for himself and for everyone around him to enjoy life to its fullest ended up taking him from us at his young age. DJ is survived by his father Darryl Wright Sr., his mother Linda Jones-Wright, his sister Sydney Wright, his grandmother Joy Wright, as well as a large loving family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

DJ’s many athletic achievements and talents were recognizable very early. Not long after learning to walk, he was hitting golf balls in the backyard. He learned to snowboard at the age of five, and by seven he conquered The Face, a double black diamond at Heavenly, Tahoe. He earned a black belt in karate before the age of nine, was a state champion in lacrosse with AYLA at the age of twelve, and a record holder in Cooperstown with his baseball team from PAL that same year. He played youth soccer for Annapolis and football with PAL. At St. Mary’s Catholic HS, he was a member of the JV football team, and played on the Varsity baseball team. 

Darryl’s education began at Montessori International, then on to St. Andrew’s United Methodist Day School, and St. Mary’s Catholic High School where he last attended.
 
Through family, school, and sports DJ became friends with countless people from all walks of life. A handsome young man with a beautiful smile and soul is what everyone will remember. Although our pain and suffering is infinite for losing you, as Sydney has said, we are at peace and comfort knowing you are safe in a much better place. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30am on Thursday, October 23 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 N. Bestgate Rd., Annapolis, MD. Interment will be private.

On Wednesday, October 15, 2014, the beloved wife of the late John J. Carroll; sister of Edgar W. and the late Ted Carroll. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, MD on Sunday, October 19 from 2 to 4pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, October 20 at 11am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Piscataway, 13401 Piscataway Rd., Clinton, MD 20735. Interment church cemetery.
