Sara E. Deeb

Sara Elizabeth Deeb, 81, of Fort Washington, MD peacefully passed away on September 9, 2022 after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Sara was born in Boston, MA on January 6, 1941 to William Junius Bates and Mildred Ingeborg Carlstrom Bates. Sara was a graduate of Framingham High School, Class of 1958. After high school, Sara pursued a degree in Nursing at the Children’s Hospital School of Nursing, in Boston, MA where she graduated in 1961. She later joined the Peace Corps and served in Malaysia for two years. In 1965, she returned to Massachusetts and married Carl Anthony Deeb of Fall River, MA. Shortly after, Sara and Carl settled in Maryland.

Sara was completely devoted to caring for children. She was a registered nurse for 44 years.  She started her nursing career at Hadley Hospital and later retired from Greater Southeast Community Hospital NICU and Children’s Pediatricians & Associates.

Sara loved to crochet and collect angels. Her husband Carl regularly referred to Sara as an “Angel”. She never complained no matter what. She was strong, proud, generous, kind, thoughtful and will forever be remembered for her loving smile.

Sara was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Anthony Deeb; parents, William and Mildred Bates; brother, William “Billy” Bates; stepmother, Rita Davis; and grandchild, Caleb Burge.

Sara is survived by her son, John Deeb and his wife Shari; daughter, Anne McKissick and her husband Eric; son, David Deeb and his wife Melissa; daughter Mary Deeb; daughter, Nancy Chaves and her husband Christian; daughter, Beth Riggs and her husband Farron; daughter, Susan Burge and her husband Brent; grandchildren, Ashley Deeb, Alanna Deeb, Edward Gillison Jr., Ciara White and her wife Tiana, Sara McKissick, Cajetan Deeb, Justin Deeb, Sophia Deeb, Grayson Deeb, John-Paul Deeb, Catalina Chaves, Sebastian Chaves, Baylor Burge, Max Riggs, Emma Burge; great grandchildren, Sa’Mari McGinnie, Cheyanne Deeb. Sara is also survived by her brother, Kenneth Bates; brother, Joseph Davis; sister, Judith Vohden; brother, John Davis as well as many other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 6160 Oxon Hill Road, Oxon Hill, MD on Saturday, September 24 at 11 a.m. A repast will immediately follow. Inurnment will be in Fall River, MA at a later date.

James "Jimmy" Edward Hooper, Jr., 79, a lifelong resident of Annapolis, MD, died at his residence on Thursday, September 8, 2022.

Born December 9, 1942, in Calvert County, MD to the late James Edward Hooper, Sr., and Lucille Jones Murphy, he worked as a self-employed carpenter.  Jimmy enjoyed gardening and classic cars.

He is survived by his wife, of 19 years, Deborah Hooper.  Friends are invited to celebrate Jimmy's life on Wednesday, September 14 from 10 am until his funeral service begins at 12 pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. John Penny Smith, of Edgewater, MD, was born on September 24, 1943, and passed away peacefully on September 8, 2022, at 78 years of age. John had been ill for several months and was a resident at the Country House in Cumberland, MD at the time of his passing.
John was born in Atlanta, GA to the late Velpoe and Elizabeth (Penny) Smith, of Annapolis, MD. He graduated from Annapolis High School, and the University of Maryland College Park with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He also served in the Army as a reservist.

John was a person dedicated to taking care of his family and friends, whatever was needed. He is survived by his son, Matthew V. Smith and wife, Virginia; his brother, Andrew V. Smith; his son-in-law, Paul Tickle; three grandchildren, Sutton, J.P., and Molly; and his nieces and nephews, Jessica, Amanda, Penny, Adrianne, Benjamin, Renee, Cheryl, and Theodore.  John was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Smith Tickle; and two siblings, Bryant Smith and Mettie (Toots) Smith Henry.

John loved spending time on his boat and plying the waters of the Chesapeake for stripers. He did not like sailboats but would forgive you if you owned one. His favorite places to spend time were Hatteras, NC and the cabin in WV. He loved off-roading on the beach and in the mountains. He loved to research and talk about his next “big purchase” …whatever that may have been, i.e., truck, boat, project car, tires, etc. He was a backyard mechanic and always had a project car that he was working on. 

John had a strong work ethic and valued hard work and honesty. For the bulk of his career, he owned and operated a construction company and built highway bridges and roadways. He was known to review a set of bridge plans and memorize the specifications. 
His employees were loyal, and many worked for him their entire lives.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate John’s life at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Saturday, September 17 beginning at 9 am, followed by John’s funeral service at 10 am in the funeral home’s chapel.

Interment will be at Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville, MD.

Alice “Paige” Peterson, 76, of Fort Washington, Md., was called to rest on Wednesday, September 7, 2022. Paige was born on April 27, 1946 and was the daughter of the late Carl “Fred” Travers and Alice Renne. 

Paige is survived by her loving husband of forty-eight years, James “Jim” Peterson; daughters Angie Peterson and Deborah Scott; sisters Deborah Simon (Bob), Karla Brown, Lori Gallagher Miller (Doug), Leslie Travers, Lisa Travers, Leanne Parnell, and LaDonna Brady (Sean); brother Len Renne (Melody); nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and god-grandchildren who each held a special place in her heart; and a host of other family members and dear friends. Paige was preceded in death by her parents. 

Paige, the oldest of nine, grew up in District Heights, Md. and graduated from Suitland High School. She was always great with numbers and shortly after high school was employed with the Washington Drug Exchange as an accountant. This is also where she met her husband, Jim. She would leave the company to become the accountant and office manager for Clinton Mechanical Contractors retiring from the company after 40 years of service. Paige also served on Our Savior’s School Board for 23 years.    

Everyone who knew Paige felt her big heart and nurturing nature especially around the Christmas holiday where she would transform her home into a Christmas Wonderland. She was a huge fan of football, her favorite team being the former Washington “Redskins.” She and Jim were season ticket holders for over 35 years and even traveled to super bowls to cheer on their favorite team. 

Paige enjoyed bowling, playing cards, gardening, reading, sewing, and relaxing in her hot tub. She especially loved teaching her younger siblings, nieces and nephews how to swim in the backyard pool during the summer months. And as a true Marylander, would never miss an opportunity to eat steamed Maryland blue crabs. When not in Maryland, you could find Paige with her family at their second home enjoying the sand and water in North Myrtle Beach, SC.      

A celebration of her life will be held at the Kalas Funeral Home and Crematory, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd, Oxon Hill, Md. 20745, starting with the Viewing on Monday, September 12, 2022 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at noon. Interment will follow at Epiphany Episcopal Church Cemetery, 3111 Ritchie Rd, Forestville, MD 20747.

On September 6, 2022, Denny lost his fight with a malignant brain tumor. He is now at peace with the Lord.

Margaret Helen Smith, 85, a 10 year resident of Edgewater and previously of Seabrook, MD, died September 4, 2022 in Annapolis.  She was born in New York on March 12, 1937 to the late Otto and Margaret Bailey.  She worked for many years as an educator at the NASA Child Development Center, and in her spare time she loved tennis, gardening and enjoying her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Robert L. Smith.  She is survived by her children, Robin Mertz of Edgewater, Penny Carlson of Riva, Dave Smith of Edgewater, Bobby Smith of Jacksonville, FL and Randy Smith of Bowie; her grandchildren, Samantha and Zachary Smith, Brandon and Nicole Carlson, Dean, Caitlyn and Kyle Mertz and Aiden Smith and her great grandchildren, TJ Beans, Carson and Crew Mertz.

Deborah (Debbie) Lee Gaffier, 69, of Edgewater, Maryland, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022, from an egregious battle with a brain tumor.

Debbie was the loving wife of Thomas, where they shared 28 wonderful years together. She is survived by their four children; Eric, Tifiny,  Trina, and Tricia, and joined in heaven by her daughter Nicole. She also had three grandchildren: Autumn, Jamison, and Emily. She was the eldest child of Fil and Barb and had two siblings, Kevin and Valarie.  

She was a kind and loving person to all those who knew her and was adored by her friends. Debbie loved Jesus and had been a member of the Chesapeake Christian Fellowship (CCF), where she was instrumental in starting the Annapolis Crosswalk on Good Friday. 

Debbie enjoyed: Nature, hiking, biking, horseback riding, and whitewater kayaking. She lived a healthy and happy life and enjoyed many adventures with her husband Thomas. 

“The years have passed, but not so far away. We lived our lives as if we only had one day. I held your hand when your soul said goodbye.  In God’s time I will look into your eyes.” - lyrics by Thomas Ray from the song, “Your Eyes”.  

In lieu of sending flowers, the family requests a monetary gift sent to Debbie’s husband, Thomas, to help pay for funeral expenses. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022, at 11:00 am at the Chesapeake Christian Fellowship, 377 W Central Avenue, Davidsonville, MD 21035. A

Richard (Dick) Henry Grimes, Sr., of Shady Side, was a fisherman, lover of family, baseball,  football and Milwaukee’s Best Light beer which he lovingly called “Beast” died peacefully on September 2, 2022.

Dick was born in Washington, DC, on July 9, 1940, to Russell Emmett Grimes and Elsie Margarite Loveless.  He attended Anacostia High School in Washington, DC.  While in high school, he started a band called The Thunderbirds.  Dick aspired to be a professional musician but life got in the way and at 19 years old he became a father. 

Dick had two careers, one he liked more than the other, the first he was a meat cutter for Safeway Supermarkets.  His second career was a Charter Boat Captain on his beloved Bay Lady.  I think you can guess which one he loved. 

The love for his boat was second only to his bride of 42 years, Delories.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by; his children Judy (Jed) and Richard, Jr., step-children, Terry (Kevin), Pam and Jimmy; his grandchildren Amanda (Dane), Rachel (Andrew), Jessica (Paul) and Jacob; his great-grandchildren Duke and Maverick; his sister Beverly (Joe) and many cousins, nieces and nephews. 

Besides fishing, Dick was an avid Redskins and Nationals fan but his passion was his family. No matter what life threw him, he held fast without defeat. Dick loved big, was larger than life and lived accordingly. We will miss him greatly but we know wherever he is, he is fishing for the big one!

Theron Marcellus Rice, Age 72, lovingly known as “Rice” or “Mr. Rice”, passed away peacefully in Washington, D.C. on Thursday, September 1, 2022. He was a longtime resident of Oxon Hill, Maryland.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, September 16, 2022 at 11am at Allen Chapel AME Church, 2498 Alabama Ave SE, Washington, DC 20020. Viewing from 10-11am. Services immediately following. Interment at Washington National Cemetery 4101 Suitland Rd, Suitland, MD 20746.

Peggy Ann Tucker, 88 of Shady Side, Maryland passed away on Tuesday, August 30th, 2022 in Annapolis, MD surrounded by her family.  Peggy was born December 13, 1933 in Shady Side to the late Harry and Florence Wilde.  A native of Shady Side for nearly 70 years she met the love of her life, William Robert “Pat” Tucker in Shady Side and they were married on October 17, 1953.  Peggy was a dedicated volunteer, starting at the young age of 20 as a candy striper at Anne Arundel General Hospital. She continued on to become a founding member of the Avery Salem Museum in Shady Side. She was also heavily involved with St. James Parish, the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society where she created “Wigs for Women” for women who are battling cancer.  During the 9/11 crisis, she organized a group of volunteers and traveled to NYC to hand out lunches and sweatshirts to the first responders. Outside of her volunteer work, she was well loved as the secretary at Shady Side Elementary for more then 20 years.  Peggy enjoyed life. She loved God, her church, family, and traveling.  She would travel to NYC with the church to see shows on Broadway and to Historic Williamsburg. She has also visited various locations in both Europe and the Caribbean.

She is survived by Pat, her loving husband of 68 years, her daughter Debbie (Bill) Greenfield, her grandchildren Aaron Greenfield, Amanda (Jake) Kilmon and her great-granddaughter Brynn Florence.  She is also survived by her sister Beverly, brother and sister in-laws, two god-daughters, several nieces, nephews and many many friends.  She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her brother Thomas Wilde, several brother and sister in-laws and her dear friend Mavis Daley. 

A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 12 at 11 am at St. James' Parish, 5757 Solomons Island Rd., Lothian, MD. Inurnment will immediately follow in the church cemetery. Condolences and tributes may be made by using the memories tab on the left.

Joan Linell “Joanie” Sames, 71, a 66-year resident of Edgewater, MD passed away peacefully on August 28, 2022 at her family home of 45 years in Edgewater due to Lou Gehrig’s Disease (ALS).  She showed great courage and strength throughout her illness.  

Joanie is survived by her two so-so special children, (IYKYK), Michelle Agee-Collett (Don) and Bryan Agee (Tiffany Clarke and her son, Colten) and two grandchildren, Sophie Collett of Edgewater and Brendon Agee of Clearwater, FL. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Sames, Jr.; her uncle, Lester Trott and her aunt, Mildred “Mobie” Sherbert. 

Born on January 23, 1951 in Cheverly, MD to the late Margaret Schofield and Edward Sames, Joanie was a graduate of DuVal High School in Lanham, MD. She held two careers. First as a Real Estate Agent, then later as a Deputy Assistant Bureau Chief for the Federal Communications Commission. She happily retired at 62.

Brendon, her first grandchild, lovingly named her “Boo” when he was a toddler after her black cat, and the name stuck! Everyone who knew Grandma Boo loved her.  She treated everyone like family.  

Boo took great pride in her home and gardens. She loved cultivating her flowers, plants and grass. She spent hours making sure everything was in the most perfect place…inside and out…so when you visited, it felt like home.  

She extended this passion within the community as a volunteer for South River Park’s beautification committee. She took great pride in an enchanted path she created that was even used as a backdrop for a wedding. 

Boo was an excellent cook. She enjoyed hosting and entertaining…especially during the holidays. From homemade chocolate chip cookies, brownies and cheesecake to fried chicken, meatballs and potato things, everyone loved her cooking. And her pumpkin pie was the best! She would say it’s all so good because it was cooked with “love.” 

One of her favorite places was her back porch, where the “drinks are cold and the friendship is free.” You would often find her there with a Michelob Ultra enjoying the sounds of her waterfall by the pool. 

She also enjoyed shopping and definitely passed this habit down…Michelle and Sophie got their love of shopping honestly.  She absolutely loved taking her grandchildren to Homestead Gardens during Christmas time.

We are sad to announce the passing of Naomi Fisher Quattrocchi, (Mickey, Mrs. Q) of Oxon Hill.  She passed away at 94 years of age on August 28, 2022, after a long and happy life.  She was born November 9, 1927, to the late John T. and Ruth M. Fisher. She spent her childhood running the hills, playing in creeks, and working hard on the Fisher tobacco farm in Oxon Hill, MD.  She graduated from Oxon Hill High School and then the University of Maryland in 1951 with a BA.  It was at the University of Maryland where she met her beloved husband, Andrew Quattrocchi.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Quattrocchi, son Andrew John Quattrocchi, brothers John T. Fisher III, Thomas G. Fisher, Robert B. Fisher, and sister Theodora M. Robertson.  Those left to cherish her memory include, her two daughters, Ruth Hardin, and Diane Quattrocchi (Rosario Zangla); her Grandchildren Jesse Hardin, Jeremy Hardin, James Hardin and Stephanie Nucci; her Great-grandchildren: Mickey, Jordan, Gabriel, Trevor, Ava, Jack, Tessa, Reagan, Emily, Max, Joey, Dylan, Sylvie, John Luke, and Annie; her sister Ruth Valencia of Edgewater, and her many nieces and nephews.

Mickey’s lifelong passion was tennis. The sheer joy of competing, both mentally and physically, fed her soul.  Throughout the year you would find her playing in tournaments and doubles matches.  She won several championship tournaments over her lifetime.

Naomi loved exploring the United States and traveling the world. She liked anything outdoors, but especially walking, bicycling, hiking, and camping.  In July of 1977 she traveled down the Snake River in a dory with her husband Andy, brother Bobby and son Andrew.  During the summer of 1989 she enjoyed a road trip with her children and grandchildren to Yellowstone, Glacier, Mount Rushmore, Devil’s Tower, and the Badlands National Park. In 1997 she travelled to China with her very dear friend Garth Summers and hiked portions of the Great Wall.

She was a lifetime member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church.  She is remembered as being generous and kind to her family and friends. She was very loved and will be missed terribly.  

In her last few years, Naomi struggled with Alzheimer's disease.  She battled it like a true warrior until the very end.

On August 27th, 2022, Edmond Bernard Williams “Butch” at age 79 transitioned from this earth into eternal rest. 
Edmond was born on September 1st, 1942, in Lexington, North Carolina. Edmond is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Cynthia (Atlee) Williams; his son Vaughn Williams (Martina, Dikiara, Jayden); his devoted sister, Kay Williams-Diggs (Otis); his grandchildren, Terrence Henderson, Tykayla Cook (James), Kayla & Kheli Williams; his nephews Brian Diggs (Sherri) and Jon Diggs (Ethel); his nieces Kathy Williams-Brewer, and Ninette Diggs; his favorite cousin Henrietta Gathers, and numerous family and friends. Edmond is preceded in death by his mother Katherine Holt, his Father Edward E. Williams, his brother Walter Edward Williams, and his daughter Sherry Richards (Bobby).
	Edmond was born in Lexington North Carolina in 1942. He graduated from Dunbar High School in North Carolina in the summer of 1960. He enlisted in the United States Navy on August 8th, 1960. He received his certificate of graduation from the United States Navy Hospital Corps School April 1961. On December 26th, 1961, he was assigned to first marine division in Camp Pendleton Oceanside, California. Edmond served with the Marines for 3 years until he reenlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard to finish out his military duties with an honorable discharge, June 28th, 1969.
	Edmond moved to Washington D.C. and received a certificate in Radiologic Technology at Howard University and became a registered licensed Radiologic Technologist on September 14th, 1972. Edmond took a full-time job at St. Elizabeth Hospital as a Radiologic Technologist in 1972. It was here he met and married his Wife Cynthia Atlee on May 25th, 1974. Edmond was baptized at St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church on December 12th, 1975. He worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital for 28 years. After retiring from St. Elizabeth in 2000, he decided to work at an orthopedic surgeon’s office in downtown D.C. in 2002. At age 60 he worked there 3 days a week for the next 12 years until officially retiring in 2014.
	Edmond was an avid jogger and would get up at 5:00am and jog 5-10 miles with friends at least 6 days a week. When jogging became to much for him, he continued his exercising with Tae Bow, kettle bells, and walking. Besides working, he enjoyed staying in. Although he was born and raised in North Carolina, he cheered on the Washington Football Team. He loved jazz music. Especially Mile Davis. He owned a saxophone and flute that he would sometimes play. On his downtime he would binge watch and finish a Netflix series on his tablet. He enjoyed watching the basketball playoffs and track n field with his wife. He enjoyed long deep talks with his sister over the phone whom he was very close to.
He will be greatly missed.

It is with great sadness that we relate the passing of Gregory G. Peden Sr.  Greg was in his 78th year.

He is survived by his children, Jennifer Weiner, and Gregory G. Peden Jr.; his siblings: John Peden Jr. and Rosemary Neville (Jeff). He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Maryann Peden, and his wife Susan Peden. He has four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  Greg was predeceased by his daughter, Kirsten Rodriguez, his parents, John A. and Beatrice Peden, his brother, Michael, and sisters, Beatrice and Kathleen.

Greg attended Salesianum High School, Villanova University and Widener University where he gained his MBA.  He was the youngest of six children and the first in his family to attend college.

He proudly served overseas in the Air Force. Greg retired after 30 years from Delmarva Power serving in various financial roles.

In 1998, Greg was elected to the New Castle Trustees of the Common during which he served in many roles including Finance Chairman and President.  He was involved in the New Castle town hall renovations and instrumental in the planning and funding of the new Police station and for many years was a member of the New Castle Lions Club. He enjoyed the race track and completing the New York Times Sunday crossword puzzles - only Sunday because they were the most difficult.

Greg was a loving father, incredibly intelligent, kind, a friend to many, and a very handsome man.  He will be missed. 

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at 2 pm at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE 19966.

 A donation has been made on Greg’s behalf to the Trustees of The New Castle Common. In lieu of flowers, please crack a Budweiser and bet on some horses at the track. He would love it.

David John Elberti, P.E., a lifelong resident of Edgewater, MD passed away peacefully on August 26, 2022 after a three year battle with multiple myeloma.  He was born on January 30, 1963 to John Paul and Charlotte Elberti.  Dave attended Edgewater Elementary School where he proudly remembered being the sixth grade class president. He was a member of the first four-year graduating class at the new South River High School during the time when students selected the school mascot, the Seahawk.  Dave attended the University of Maryland, College Park, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.  He was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity.  Dave was a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Maryland and a Project Management Professional.

Dave’s professional career began with engineering positions of advancing levels of responsibility in land development for several private engineering firms in Maryland and Washington DC.  During this time, he served in various leadership positions in the American Society of Civil Engineers, Baltimore, MD.

In 2010, Dave started his career in public service at the St. Mary’s County Metropolitan Commission, California, MD.  He served as the Chief Engineer and Department Head of the Countywide Water and Sewer Authority responsible for managing 30 employees and a $120 million Capital Improvement Budget.  While in St. Mary’s County, Dave served as the President of the Leonardtown, MD Rotary, where he led multiple community service projects.  In 2016, Dave wanted to work closer to home and family and accepted a position as a Senior Engineer with Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works doing project management for water and wastewater capital projects, a role he fully embraced.

Dave’s deep faith in God underscored his moral principle of service above self.  Dave belonged to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Edgewater, MD, where he served on the Stewardship Committee, was the secretary of the Finance Committee and a member of the Haiti Committee.  In 2018 he led a fundraising project to construct a new schoolhouse in the sister parish of St. Elizabeth of Hungary in Perodin, Haiti.

Dave grew up on the shore of the South River and never passed up an opportunity to be in and around the water.  He was a boater, crabber, and a member of the South River Duck Club.  He even braved the cold water to participate in the annual Polar Plunge for charity.   Dave also started and ran his own company, Chesapeake Shoreline Protection, Inc., where he specialized in design and engineering for shoreline restoration in our local waterways.

Dave is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Welesko Elberti; his daughter, Katharina Elberti of Annapolis; his sister, Jane Elberti of Edgewater; his stepmother, Sophia Elberti of Vienna, VA; his aunt, Joan Jenkins of Riva, MD; his uncle, Stan Aagaard of Venice, FL; his mother-in-law, Florence Welesko; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Rick Welesko, Lian Zhang, Paula and John Lesko and Kathy and Steve Payne and many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and countless professional and personal friends, who will always remember Dave’s pursuit of learning and service to others.

All are invited to attend Dave’s services which begin on Thursday, September 8th from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD 21037 with a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, September 9th at 12:00 pm at Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH) Catholic Church, 515 Loch Haven Rd., Edgewater, MD 21037.  Interment will be held at Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville, MD.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Dave’s memory, to the Haiti Rectory Building Fund c/o OLPH Church.

Douglas "Rocky" Edward Lee. Born August 24, 1956. A long-time resident of Riva, MD. Rocky passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on August 26, 2022. Rocky's lifelong career was a Master Brick Mason and business owner of Rocky's Construction. He was a 37-year member of the Annapolis Elks Lodge #622.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Rocky's life on Friday, September 2, 2022, from 2 pm to 4 pm and again from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD 21037 where a funeral service is being held on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 11 am. Interment will follow at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, Davidsonville, MD.
