Age 64; a two year resident of Edgewater, MD and previously of Churchton, MD and Forestville, MD died on October 15, 2008 of natural causes at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. 


Born, August 8, 1944, she attended Suitland High School. She retired in 2003 after working at several convenience stores throughout her life, with the last being High's in Galesville, MD. Mrs. Horn was a former member of the Rebekah Lodge in Forestville, MD. 


Beloved mother of Scott Horn of Churchton, MD, Charity L. Dudley of Shady Side, MD and the late Richard Horn; mother-in-law of Tina Horn and Thomas Dudley; sister of Richard Moore of Fredericksburg, VA and the late Berry Moore; also survived by 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. 


A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 20, 2008 at 12:00 P.M. at Epiphany Episcopal Church Cemetery, 3111 Ritchie Road, Forestville, MD. Krescenz I. Simmons, â€œKressieâ€, age 69, a 5 year resident of Stevensville, MD and previously of Anne Arundel Co. died on October 15, 2008 at Anne Arundel Medical Center of cancer. She was born on January 10, 1939 in Washington, D.C. and was a graduate of Annapolis Sr. High School. Kressie drove a school bus in Anne Arundel Co. for many years. She loved to play bingo, antiques and travelling, especially going on cruises. She was the beloved wife of Thomas E. Simmons of Stevensville, MD; mother of Timothy S. Bush of Diamondhead, Miss. and the late Kimberly Cantler; sister of Karl Diegelmann of Alexandria, LA, Marion Judy of CT and the late Loraine Hoyda. Richard Woods Hudson 


Richard Woods â€œBanjo Richâ€ Hudson,36,of Edgewater and formally of Laurel,Md. died of cancer October 14,in his home after a two year illness. Mr.Hudson was born February 29,1972 in Washington,D.C. and graduated from Ft. Meade High School. He worked as an Industrial Hygenist for Annapolis based International Academy and SaLUT,Inc. in Beltsville,Md. Rich's passion for music included his love of playing the banjo and Bluegrass music.He also enjoyed camping,hiking and mountain biking. He is preceded in death by his father James Hudson. Survivors include his wife Dana Nicodemus Hudson whom he married on October 18,2007.His brothers Matt Hudson of Annapolis and Marshall Hudson of Springfield,Va.,his mother Helen Woods Hudson of Heritage Harbour in Annapolis and three nephews,two nieces and one godson.

Gail Reaney Johnson, a ten year resident of Davidsonville, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family, on October 14 after a nearly eleven year war with breast cancer. 


Born in 1951 in Highland Park, Illinois to Dr. Burnell V. Reaney and Carolyn Turner Reaney, she is survived, honored, and loved by Todd Johnson, her husband of thirty five years, by their children Alexander Kimball Johnson of New York City, Graham Reaney Johnson of Baltimore and Carolyn Elizabeth Johnson of Davidsonville and Boston, and by sisters Martha Reaney of Deerfield, IL, Sarah Bevington of Pewaukee, WI and Ann Hoffman of Naples FL. 


Gail graduated from The Ferry Hall School in Lake Forest, IL and earned a B.A. from Simmons College in Boston. She worked as a cost accountant for Barker Steel Corporation in Boston and then for Standard Brands in Chicago. 


Upon the birth of her first child Gail became a devoted full time mom, wife, homemaker and volunteer. Her proudest accomplishment was in having successfully guided the personal and professional development of her three children. 


For the last ten years, despite battle after medical battle, she continued as a devoted volunteer at Meals on Wheels of Anne Arundel County, working both in the kitchen and making deliveries. She loved her work there. Gail was always about others. She loved those who surrounded her and they loved her for it. She was a consummate cook, hostess and friend, and maintained a lifelong interest in traditional American decorating.

Eugene William Junta â€œGeneâ€, 78, a 19-year resident of the Heritage Harbour Community of Annapolis and formerly of Harwood, MD, died on Oct. 13 at home of complications from diabetes. Mr. Junta was born January 6, 1930 in Washington, DC. During his youth, he served as an altar boy at St. Matthias Catholic Church in Capitol Heights, MD. In 1947, he graduated from Maryland Park High School in Seat Pleasant, MD, and later from the Benjamin Franklin School of Accounting in Washington, DC. He also attended the University of Maryland. As a young man, he played right field position in minor league baseball for the St. Louis Browns. He worked for the Universal Carloading and Distributing Co. of Baltimore, MD. He was founder and owner of G.F.M. Freight Forwarding Co. He was a Korean War veteran with service in the U.S. Navy. He was past president of the Lothian Ruritan Club and a former usher at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in West River, MD. He was an avid New York Yankees fan whose interests also included gardening, cooking and, most of all, spending time with his family. Predeceased by his daughter, Christine Ann Junta who died in 1972, he is survived by his loving wife, Mary Junta; his children, Stephen Giunta of Andover, KS., Colleen Junta of Odenton, MD and Jean Junta of Bowie, MD; two brothers, Frank Junta of Boonsboro, MD and John Junta of Stevensville, MD; a sister, JoAnn Ross of Annapolis, MD; four grandchildren, Marie, Natalie, Stephen, Jr. and Nicole Giunta; and many beloved extended family, relatives and close friends. Melvin â€œMelâ€ Grier, 82, a three year resident of the Heritage Harbour Community in Annapolis, MD and previously of Bowie, MD died October 11, 2008 of cancer at her home in Annapolis. 


Born, October 2, 1926 in New York, NY, he graduated from Syracuse University with a MBA Degree. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He was employed as a Senior Contracts Manager fro Westinghouse/Northrop Grumman. Mr. Grier had a lifelong passion for theatre; participating or acting in over 30 amateur plays. He received the Distinguished Service Award from the National Contracts Management Association (NCMA). His memberships included St. Matthew's Methodist Church. He had a passion for aircraft and loved animals, especially Dalmatians. 


Beloved husband of Angela Joan Grier, whom he married July 18, 1976; father of Elizabeth Grier of Los Angeles, CA and Debbie Grier; stepfather of Stephan R. Izzi of West Friendship, MD, Robert V. Izzi of Riva, MD, Gregory R. Izzi of Riva, MD, Christian R. Izzi of Prince Frederick, MD and Marc V. Izzi of Baltimore, MD; brother of Leonard Goldberg of Yonkers, NY and Eugene Goldberg of Thousand Oaks, CA; also survived by 8 grandchildren.

Mrs. Wilson, known as â€œMibsâ€ to family and friends died of heart failure on October 11, 2008 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. 


She was born on April 13, 1925 in St. Paul, MN. She was the eldest of seven children of the late Mary Elizabeth Martin Stumm and William Irwin Stumm. 


She was a 1943 graduate of North High in Minneapolis, MN. She was also a graduate of the former Abbott Hospitals School of Nursing. Joining the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps in 1948, she was a Korean veteran stationed at Naval Hospitals in Texas, Virginia, Japan and the U.S. Naval Academy. She earned her A.A., B.A. and M.A. at Maryland Colleges. 


She married Joseph B. Wilson on February 13, 1954. She was an active member of numerous church, community and civic organizations. She belonged to several professional organizations. A member of Colombia Rebekah Lodge No. 50, IOOF of Forestville, MD, Life Member of the United Methodist Women's and the Auxiliary of Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD. 


She was the sister of the late Robert (Bob) William Stumm and Blanche B. Thuftidal. Surviving are her husband, Joseph B. Wilson of Annapolis, MD; her son, Joseph B. Wilson, Jr. of Annapolis, MD; her siblings, Mary Jane Blesi, Barbara J. Bernhard, Margie L. Straumann and Larry I. Stumm, all of the Minneapolis, MN area. 


Mrs. Wilson donated her body to the Maryland Board of Anatomy and Research in Baltimore,MD. Mrs. Wilson's Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the GEORGE P. Age 92, of Accokeek, Maryland, died on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at his residence. He was a World War II, U.S. Marine Corps Veteran; he retired from the District Government as an Engineering Equipment Mechanic in Washington, D.C. Mr. Clements was born in Lewistown, PA; son of the late Charles Reginald Clements of Leonardtown,MD and Edna Pearl Beauchamp of Salisbury, MD. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Adelta Agnes(Lint) Clements, and their children: Janice A. Cross, David W. Clements, Stephen H. Virginia Estelle Rolfes 


Virginia â€œGinnyâ€ Estelle Rolfes, a 15 year resident of Heritage Harbour in Annapolis, MD and previously of Beltsville, MD died October 7, 2008 at her residence of natural causes. She was 87. 


Born May 22, 1921 in Washington, D.C., she graduated from Mt. Rainer High School in 1938. Virginia was a homemaker and a member of All Hallows' Episcopal Church in Edgewater and a former member of St. Johns Episcopal Church in Mt. Rainier. She enjoyed playing cards, spending time with her grandchildren, church activities, entertaining her family and friends, travel and jigsaw puzzles. 


Virginia was pre-deceased by her husband W. Warren Rolfes, who passed away on April 1, 1997 and whom she married on February 6, 1942. She is also survived by her sons Larry and his wife Rhonda Rolfes of Newark, DE, Lee and his wife Mary Rolfes of Shady Side, MD, her daughters Linda Rolfes of Germantown, MD, Leslie and her husband Tom Wendorf of Monrovia, MD and Laura and her husband Bryan Scott of Queenstown, MD. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Virginia Kiser Williams







Virginia â€œGinnyâ€ Kiser Williams, an 8 year resident of Riva Trace in the Annapolis area, and previously of Mayo, MD, on the Rhodes River, died October 7, 2008 at Anne Arundel Medical Center of Heart Failure. She was 88.



Born February 26, 1920 in Charleston, West Virginia she graduated from Charleston High School in Charleston, WV. She worked for the National Security Agency from 1942 to 1955 and later she worked at Mayo Elementary from 1970- 1980. She was an avid reader, devoted mother and homemaker, she moved to the Washington, D.C. area from West Virginia at the start of WWII to work for the government. She rose quickly to a top secret classified position, and then decided to have children and raise a family.



Ginny was a former member of Mayo United Methodist Church, and enjoyed crossword puzzles, bridge and canasta, and other card games, and was very devoted to her family and friends.



Ginny is survived by her husband Sager A. Williams, whom she married September 2, 1948, and by her sons Sager Williams, Jr. of Annapolis, MD and James Michael Williams of Shady Side, MD. She is also survived by her sister Betty Vogt of Vero Beach, Fl and was predeceased by her brothers Russell, Howard and Roger Kiser and her late sister Velma Munson



There will be a memorial service at Ginny's home celebrating her life, which will be scheduled at a later date.

Mildred Jarvis Feeley, a six year resident of Annapolis, previously of Needham, Massachusetts, died of natural causes at Anne Arundel Medical Center on October 7, 2008. 


Born March 17, 1919 in Northampton, MA to Walter and Elwilda Jarvis, she received a BA from St. Elizabeth College in Convent Station, NJ and she had some Educational training at Boston University. She was a social worker for 6 years, she then taught Kindergarten for 27 years. After she retired in March of 2003 from teaching, she worked as a real estate broker. 


She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Annapolis. She was predeceased by her husband James A. Feeley whom she married November 11, 1941, and a son, James A. Feeley, Jr. She is survived by her sons Jeffrey E. Feeley of Clearwater, FL and Martin J. Feeley of Annapolis, MD. Also survived by 5 grandchildren.

Beverly Jean Galipeau, age 61, a 10 year resident of Davidsonville, MD and formerly of Massachusetts and California, died on October 4, 2008 at Anne Arundel Medical Center of natural causes. 


She was born on October 3, 1947 in Boston, MA. She earned a Masters Degree in education. She was a Special Education Teacher at Central Middle School in Edgewater, MD. 


She is survived by her husband- Philip J. Galipeau of Davidsonville, MD,her stepson Greg Galipeau of Potomac, MD and her stepdaughters; Erin Galipeau of Alexandria, VA andJessica Galipeau of Gaithersburg, MD. Also survived by her sisters; Debby Bandis and Elizabeth Forsberg both of Massachusetts
